Robert L. Salvador C.I.C.has been involved in the Connecticut Youth Soccer Community for the past 30 years. He has succeeded in transforming his passion for "The Beautiful Game" into a way of life! Ecuadorian born, Bob has established himself as a soccer educator, coach/trainer for high quality, interscholastic soccer programs in Connecticut and has a successful track record of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletic soccer programs.
Coaching hundreds of youth and collegiate players throughout the years, Bob holds an International Coaching License(ICA); Certified Interscholastic Coach(CIC) by the National HS Athletic Coaches Association(NHSACA); NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma; USSF 'D' License; CJSA State Soccer Coaching Certificate-Youth Module Functional Practice for Youth; former Assistant Varsity boys and girls goalkeeper coach at Newtown HS; named 2005 Assistant Coach of the Year by the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association(CSCA); a former USSF Soccer Referee; CPR and First Aid Certified; former professional soccer player for the Connecticut Yankees in the American Soccer League. Bob has also been actively involved in promoting the PASS program(Performance, Agility, Speed, Skill) which promotes soccer-specific fitness and skill development for boys and girls 3 1/2 to 17+ years of age.
As one of the new coach/trainers with Yankee United F.C. Bob will be the Head Coach/Trainer for the U11 Girls Premier Developmental team in the Fall of 2009. Bob will also join Matt Mones as co-director of the New Yankee United Youth Skill Development Academy.
